Frontend Developer

Role Overview: Do you want to design and build next generation business applications using the latest technologies Are you confident at iteratively refining user requirements and removing any ambiguity Do you like to be challenged and encouraged to learn and grow professionally As a developer for the IT Crew Obtain Pension Solutions at UBS, you will play a vital role in working closely with the Requirements Engineer, the Solution Architect, and the Product Owner to translate requirements into tasks and stories for the development team. You will be an active member of the development team (Backend & Frontend), ensuring the highest quality delivery of software and implementing quality measures and checks throughout the development cycle. Your support to the team with your own development skills and ability will be crucial for the team's success. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with the Requirements Engineer, Solution Architect, and Product Owner to translate requirements into tasks and stories for the development team - Be an active member of the development team (Backend & Frontend) to deliver software, enabling business growth and strategy - Ensure highest quality delivery of software and implement quality measures and checks - Manage the full development cycle including proper documentation, unit testing, and test automation scripting - Support the team with your own development skills and ability Qualifications Required: - B.S. degree (or similar) in Computer Science (or similar) and more than 7 years of frontend development (react or similar) - Expert knowledge on design pattern and distributed architecture, with a passion for delivering quality software using best practices in chosen technology - Designing and implementing REST APIs, understanding full end-to-end integration - Strong SQL skills, RDBMS know how (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and confidence creating DML / DDL scripts - Experience with Cloud native technology (Microservices, container technology) and DevOps - Experience with Flowable Business Process Automation - Accustomed with Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) - Excellent skills as creative problem solver and team player with great communication skills and fluent in English - Preferably 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry Additional Company Details (if present): UBS is the world's largest and the only truly global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
