Job Summary

The Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction, efficient check-in/check-out procedures, and smooth coordination between front office staff and other departments. This role requires strong leadership, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of front desk staff, concierge, bell desk, and guest services.
  • Ensure smooth check-in/check-out processes and address any issues or delays.
  • Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor room availability and work closely with housekeeping and reservations.
  • Train, coach, schedule, and evaluate front office staff to ensure service excellence.
  • Maintain records of guest accounts, payments, and room status.
  • Prepare reports for management (occupancy, revenue, complaints, etc.).
  • Implement and monitor front office SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hotel policies.
  • Support in budget planning, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Promote upselling and loyalty programs to maximize revenue.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in front office operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of front desk systems (e.g., Opera, PMS, POS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
