Founding Software Engineer

As a Founding Engineer at EXARGEN, you will have the exciting opportunity to architect systems from scratch and have full ownership of tech decisions, stack, and product direction. This role goes beyond just a job; it is a chance to be involved in building next-gen AI applications at Exargen. We are seeking an exceptional software engineer with over 5 years of real industry experience. You should be someone who excels at solving complex problems elegantly and can build robust, scalable systems that provide a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate knows when to prioritize speed and when to focus on designing for scale. You should thrive in a startup environment, enjoy the fast-paced nature of a growing company, and be comfortable wearing multiple hats. As a Founding Engineer, your responsibilities will include architecting and shipping core systems from the ground up. You will work with technologies such as Nest.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and have the opportunity to explore modern backend stacks like Prisma, GraphQL, tRPC, or even Rust/Go for speed optimization. Additionally, you will play a key role in defining the tech culture, development practices, and future team structure. In our tech playground, we utilize technologies such as Next.js for frontend development, Nest.js and TypeScript for backend development, and Prisma along with GraphQL/REST APIs. Our infrastructure is built on serverless architecture combined with containers (AWS/GCP), PostgreSQL, and Redis. We are passionate about developer experience (DX) and clean architecture.
