Fleet Engineer - Engineer Senior

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join the Self-Driving Team. The ideal candidate should have experience in ADAS and self-driving technologies, including working with vehicle sensor retrofits, implementing mounting racks, installing vehicle logging system hardware, wiring, and technical troubleshooting. This role requires collaborating with the engineering team on calibration, data collection tasks, and performing vehicle maintenance. The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 2 years of Software Engineering experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 1 year of experience or a PhD in a relevant field is also acceptable. Proficiency in Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc., with 2+ years of academic or work experience is required. Responsibilities include supporting autonomous vehicle activities, understanding hardware system architecture and sensor integration, Python development, exposure to ADAS, inventory tracking, and managing project assets. The role involves setting up and configuring Linux PC systems, IP network management, diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, fabricating prototype components, installing sensors and test equipment in vehicles, and providing lab support across the organization. The candidate must be capable of driving a vehicle, possess a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel for trade shows or weekend testing. Additional duties include data collection, basic troubleshooting of vehicle stack, basic mechanical understanding, record-keeping, communication with engineers and technicians, and ensuring a high level of technical support. Qualifications also include a high school diploma or some college education, 3+ years of related lab or field work experience, automotive electrical understanding, basic computer skills, and a clean driver's license. Preferred qualifications encompass experience in customer interaction, advanced driver training, electrical knowledge, basic scripting in Python, familiarity with QXDM, ADB, or other logging tools, willingness to travel and work weekends, good communication skills, and expertise in wireless and wireline sensors.
