Job Description:
A Fitter/Welder Helper assists skilled fitters and welders in fabrication, installation, and maintenance work at project sites or workshops. The role involves supporting technical operations, preparing tools and materials, and ensuring safety compliance during mechanical work
Key Responsibilities:
Assist welders and fitters in assembling, fitting, and welding metal parts.
Hold, align, and secure workpieces during fabrication or repair.
Clean and prepare metal surfaces before and after welding.
Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from the worksite.
Perform grinding, drilling, cutting, and other basic mechanical tasks.
Maintain cleanliness and safety at the work area.
Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to company safety standards
Skills Required:
Basic knowledge of welding and fitting tools.
Understanding of safety procedures in fabrication and mechanical work.
Ability to read and follow basic technical instructions
Teamwork and communication skills.
Physically fit for field and workshop work.
Work Environment:
Workshop or project site (indoor/outdoor).
May involve travel and long working hours.
Safety equipment (helmet, gloves, shoes, goggles) mandatory
