Role Overview

Team Lead Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure

  100% plant availability

  by minimizing downtime and enhancing reliability.
• Monitor daily maintenance and breakdown activities; provide timely resolutions.
  
• Maintain adequate stock of

  critical spares

  for all essential equipment.
• Oversee daily work progress across maintenance departments and ensure timely completion.
  
• Ensure timely renewal of

  fitness certificates and insurance

  for all vehicles.
• Drive

  Kaizen, 5S, TPM tools

  and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Achieve

  On-Time in Full (OTIF)

  reduction of breakdown hours.
• Lead

  preventive and breakdown maintenance

  activities for all equipment.
• Ensure

  calibration

  of monitoring instruments, magnets, weighing scales, standard weights, and weighbridges.
• Lead and maintain

  ISO documentation

  for the department.
• Ensure timely completion of engineering projects (erection, fabrication, commissioning, piping, plumbing, etc.).
  
• Manage compliance and timely updates for statutory inspections (Electrical, Boiler, Tools & Tackles, Pressure Vessels, etc.).
  
• Conduct regular team meetings to build motivation, collaboration, and accountability.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in

  Operation & Maintenance

  of valves and equipment.

• Project Estimation

  and execution capabilities.
• Proficiency in

  SAP MM

  and

  MS Project

  .
• Skilled in

  Vendor Identification

  and management.
• Ability to develop and lead teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  
• Knowledge of

  TPM tools

  and modern maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• Education:

  BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

• Experience:

  4–8 years of relevant experience in Engineering & Maintenance, preferably in process/ manufacturing plants.
