Job Summary

The Manager of QA and DevOps will lead two critical functions Quality Assurance (QA) and DevOps to ensure high-quality software delivery and efficient, automated deployment processes. This leader drives shift-left strategies across development, testing, and operations; sets strategy and standards; and partners across engineering, product, and security to continuously improve reliability, speed, and security. The team operates across the US and India.

Required Technical Skills

QA:

Define and implement QA strategies, standards, and best practices; develop and maintain test plans, frameworks, and automation scripts; oversee defect tracking, root-cause analysis, resolution, and quality metrics (e.g., defect density, test coverage).

DevOps / CI/CD:

Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable deployments; automate build, deployment, and monitoring; implement backup and disaster recovery.

Infrastructure & Cloud:

Oversee cloud infrastructure on AWS / Azure / GCP for scalability and security; implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

DevSecOps

: Drive secure software delivery practices across the pipeline.

Tools:

QA Tools: Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, TestRail
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps
Automation & Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell

Foundations

: Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Experience:

7+ years in QA and DevOps with 3+ years in a leadership role; Bachelor s in CS/Engineering (or related).

Nice to have

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience with monitoring/observability (Prometheus, Grafana).

Prior success leading distributed teams (US & India).

Budget management for tools, resources, and personnel.

Skills - Soft skills & collaboration

Leadership & Mentorship: Build and manage high-performing QA and DevOps teams; mentor engineers; champion continuous improvement and innovation.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Partner effectively with engineering, product, and security; align technical strategies with business goals.

Communication: Clear, proactive communicator across time zones; fosters a culture of quality and accountability.

Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking: Data-driven approach to root-cause analysis, reliability, and performance.

Adaptability & Ownership: Operates with autonomy; drives outcomes; integrates QA early in the SDLC ( shift-left )
