Powered by proprietary emotional intelligence, multilingual AI, speech and vision recognition, and behavioral analysis, Miko combines advanced technology with autonomous navigation to deliver personalized and interactive learning for children.Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our embedded firmware development team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with people management responsibilities, focusing on driving day-to-day operations, team development, and project execution in afast-paced embedded systems environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of embedded firmware engineers Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and career development planningFoster a collaborative and innovative team cultureRecruit, interview, and onboard new team membersResolve conflicts and facilitate effective team communicationSupport professional growth through training opportunities and skill development2. Technical Leadership:Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight for embedded firmware projectsReview code, design documents, and technical specificationsEnsure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality processesCollaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and QA Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in embedded systems3. Project Management:Plan, prioritize, and track project deliverables and milestonesCoordinate resource allocation and workload distribution across team members Identify and mitigate technical and schedule risksFacilitate agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectivesCommunicate project status and technical decisions to stakeholders and upper managementRequired Qualifications:Technical Experience: 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience with demonstrated expertise in:C++ programming for embedded systemsLinux operating system and kernel programmingReal-time operating systems (RTOS)Hardware/software integration and debuggingProficient with Git version control system and branching strategies Experience with embedded development tools, debuggers, and testing frameworksUnderstanding of communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet)Knowledge of microcontrollers, DSPs, and embedded processorsManagement Experience:Experience in managing small engineering teams (3-8 people) Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projectsExperience with hiring, performance management, and team development Strong leadership and interpersonal skillsAdditional Requirements:Strong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (WiFi, Bluetooth, cellular) Previous experience in a startup or high-growth technology company
