Engineer, Senior

As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, creating, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs to launch cutting-edge products that exceed customer requirements. You will collaborate with various teams to design system-level software solutions and gather information on performance requirements and interfaces. In this role, you will specifically focus on the design and development of Location (positioning) stack on existing and upcoming Qualcomm Linux baseline products, gaining expertise in Location Technologies on Android and Linux Embedded platforms. - Design and develop new features as well as provide support for existing features on commercialized products - Demonstrate good programming skills in C, C++, and Java - Have a solid understanding of Linux concepts and the ability to navigate large codebases for updates - Work efficiently in a multitasking environment and provide thorough documentation for code and API layer - Exhibit strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, collaborative product development environment - Showcase wide system understanding and the capability to work effectively in a new team while addressing unknown challenges - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of Software Engineering experience OR Master's degree with 2+ years OR PhD with 1+ year - 2+ years of experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a CS or Embedded domain engineer - Proficiency in Android system development and development on Linux Embedded platforms preferred - Knowledge of Positioning Technologies is advantageous - Experience with Android application development is a plus Please note that Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities during the application/hiring process.
