Engineer - Linux Embedded Performance

Role Overview: As a Qualcomm Software Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be part of the Engineering Group with a focus on Software Engineering. You will play a key role in designing, developing, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and utility programs to launch cutting-edge products that meet and exceed customer needs. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial in designing system-level software solutions and ensuring performance requirements are met. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to the design and implementation of network stack components - Perform thorough testing to ensure reliability and performance of developed components - Develop system performance optimization features on Linux platform - Analyze, debug, and resolve performance issues on Linux devices like Throughput/KPI Performance Analysis, boot time, memory, I/O, launch latency, etc. - Configure and tune system parameters for common scenarios to ensure good user experience and achieve performance-power balance - Provide key support to OEMs for features and issues - Work closely with technical teams and provide support from a performance perspective Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field - BE/MTech/MS in computer science or relevant field - 1-2 years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc, and Linux operating systems - Strong understanding of Networking concepts, particularly with L3/L4 (Layer 3/Layer 4) experience - Good kernel skills and ability to understand system design and tradeoffs - Experience with Ethernet, Wifi, etc is a plus Additional Company Information: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
