Job Description

As a Validation Engineer in the Electronic Components/Semiconductors industry, your role will involve developing validation requirements and test plans for peripherals and full chip SOC operations based on device specifications and design requirements. Additionally, you will enhance automated validation bench setups and scripts, validate and perform characterization testing for new 32-bit microcontrollers, and create test fixtures and device test programs to ensure data sheet specifications are met. Key Responsibilities: - Develop validation requirements and test plans for peripherals and full chip SOC operations - Enhance automated validation bench setups and scripts - Validate and perform characterization testing for new 32-bit microcontrollers - Create test fixtures and device test programs to ensure data sheet specifications are met - Bring up validation test boards and bench setups - Independently collect data and debug issues - Collaborate with various teams to validate and debug Silicon - Make necessary changes to hardware boards and test setups to minimize validation cycle time To qualify for this position, you should have 3 to 5 years of experience in post-silicon validation of digital SOCs. A solid understanding and experience in validating microcontrollers architecture, including knowledge of ARM architecture and instruction set, will be beneficial. Proficiency in C programming language, Assembly Language, and scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or TCL is required. Additionally, you should have a good grasp of key peripherals like SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, CAN, USB, TIMERS, among others, and an understanding of SOC infrastructure involving Power-Management, clock distribution, and emulation. Qualifications Required: - 3 to 5 years of experience in post-silicon validation of digital SOCs - Solid understanding and experience in validating microcontrollers architecture - Proficiency in C programming language, Assembly Language, and scripting languages - Good grasp of key peripherals and SOC infrastructure Your ability to work independently and provide technical guidance to junior team members will be crucial to the success of the validation process. You will collaborate with various teams such as Design, Verification, Applications, Product Test Engineering, Marketing, and other design organizations to validate and debug Silicon in support of product release. Excellent engineering documentation skills, effective verbal communication, and presentation skills are essential for this role. Being well-organized, methodical, detail-oriented, and a self-motivated team player who can collaborate with cross-functional groups across different sites is imperative. Exposure to NI Tools (e.g., Test Stand, LabVIEW) would be considered a plus. This role may involve travel up to 25%, allowing you to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.,
