Job Description

Our startup is looking for someone who can take ownership of the entire firmware stack behind our assistive tech products. You’ll work hands-on with nRF platforms, IMUs, BLE communication, and the supporting electronics that power our current and upcoming devices. This role suits someone who enjoys solving problems independently and can drive a product from development to dispatch.

What you’ll work on

Design, develop, test, and maintain firmware for nRF SoCs and other embedded platforms.
Integrate and tune IMUs, motion-tracking algorithms, BLE communication, USB HID, and power management features.
Debug hardware–software issues across sensors, PCBs, and wireless modules.
Conduct quality checks on finished units and manage product dispatch to customers and partners
Coordinate with PCB fabrication vendors, assembly teams, and enclosure manufacturers for smooth production.
Handle technical questions from the internal team and support customers when issues arise.
Document firmware, test procedures, and release notes.

What you should bring

Strong experience with embedded C/C++, RTOS basics, and nRF SDK (or similar BLE stacks).
Good understanding of IMUs, sensor fusion fundamentals, and hardware interfaces like I2C, SPI, and UART.
Comfort reading schematics and working closely with hardware teams.
Hands-on with hardware debugging tools (JTAG, logic analysers, oscilloscopes)
Comfortable working alone and making technical decisions without a senior engineer guiding you
A structured approach to debugging, testing, and version control.
Clear communication and willingness to guide the team when technical questions come up.

Bonus if you have

Experience with motion-tracking algorithms or calibration routines.
Exposure to manufacturing workflows and production tooling.
