Encode is a stealth-mode materials and biotechnology venture developing next-generation regenerative and intelligent material systems. Encode is co-founded with professors and researchers from MIT and Boston University, and supported by cross-disciplinary expertise in biomaterials, synthetic biology, and computational engineering. We are currently advancing a proprietary smart bio-material platform — including a next-generation intelligent skin interface — and are building an early technical team to scale R&D.

Embedded Engineer( Part time)

We are looking for a technically strong and highly motivated Embedded Engineer to build and integrate sensor-driven electronic systems within biomaterial-based platforms. This role is ideal for someone eager to work at the frontier of biotech and deeptech.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop embedded systems for real-time biosensing and signal processing
• Integrate sensors and microcontrollers (ESP32 / Arduino / Raspberry Pi or similar)
• Support rapid prototyping, testing, and iteration cycles
• Collaborate closely with materials and global bio-R&D teams

Ideal Candidate

• Self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving approach
• Thrives in fast-moving, experimental environments
• Strong embedded hardware + firmware background
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate independently
