Electrical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical layouts, schematics, and single-line diagrams for residential buildings.
• Calculate electrical load requirements and prepare load distribution schedules.
• Select appropriate electrical equipment, materials, and systems (lighting, wiring, switchgear, distribution panels, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with IS codes, IEC standards, NEC, and local regulations.
• Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), technical specifications, and cost estimates for electrical works.
• Collaborate with architects, civil & MEP teams to integrate electrical design with overall project plans.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and vendor designs.
• Conduct site visits to inspect ongoing works, ensure adherence to design, and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants for design execution and approvals.
• Implement safety standards and energy-efficient electrical solutions.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E / B.Tech) or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of proven experience in electrical design for residential / building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, etc.).
• Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (IS, IEC, NEC, NBC).
• Proficiency in preparing design documents, BOQs, and technical reports.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under deadlines.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and team-working skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
