  • Job Title:

    Duty cycle & Calibration Engineer (Gearboxes, Clutch system, DMF, ESS,Driveline & Vehicle)

  • Years of experience: 08 to 15 Years

  • Education qualification:

    Bachelor / Master Degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering Discipline.

Responsibilities:

Duty cycle criteria:

  • Perform digital simulations and theoretical analyses to model product development and operational cycles.
  • Develop and simulate duty cycles, often in an iterative process, based on real-world transient speed and load conditions.
  • Collect, evaluate, and analyze data and measurement results to identify areas for improvement and ensure products meet performance targets.
  • Develop and coordinate technical solutions to solve problems, enhance durability, improve efficiency, and meet specific customer requirements.
  • Accurately document all measurements, analyses, and results for internal records and stakeholder review.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including customers, suppliers, and production, to ensure solutions are implemented effectively.
  • Present and discuss findings and proposed solutions with relevant specialist departments.

Calibration criteria:

  • Create and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for calibrating various measurement instruments and systems.
  • Execute manual and automated calibrations on instruments using defined measurement standards to ensure they meet desired parameters.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all calibration activities, including calibration results and equipment maintenance history.
  • Identify and resolve issues with measurement equipment, systems, and calibration processes.
  • Adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices during all calibration activities.
  • Work with cross-functional engineering and production teams to integrate calibration processes, optimize equipment performance, and support new product development.
  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements and trends in calibration technology and procedures.

Requirements/ Skill set required:

Duty cycle criteria:

  • A strong foundation in the relevant engineering field
  • Expertise in using simulation and 3D visualization software.
  • Ability to perform complex theoretical and data-driven analyses.
  • Aptitude for developing innovative and practical solutions to technical challenges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting results and collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Adaptability to handle various tasks and changing project demands.

Calibration criteria:

  • A strong understanding of embedded software, particularly in automotive or similar industries.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Matlab, Simulink, and CAN communication tools (e.g., CANalyzer, INCA).
  • The ability to interpret complex data to draw meaningful conclusions and guide calibration efforts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address issues that arise during calibration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Understanding of how to interpret and apply requirements specifications to guide software development and calibration.
