Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Conduct topographical surveys using drone technology to collect high-quality data for mapping and cartography purposes.
Plan flight routes and navigate drones along predefined paths to ensure efficient collection of data.
Operate drones to capture aerial photographs, videos, and other visual content for various applications such as videography, photography, and inspections.
Analyze GPS coordinates to create accurate maps and spatial representations of surveyed areas.
Collaborate with team members to integrate drone-collected data into larger projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

2-7 years of experience as a drone pilot or UAV operator in topographical surveying or related fields (cartography, geology).
Strong understanding of DGPS systems and ability to work with DGPS markings on site.
Proficiency in flight planning software (e.g., Flight Planning) for optimizing route efficiency.
Experience operating drones equipped with cameras for photography/videography purposes; knowledge of LIDAR technology an asset.
