Director - Platform Operations

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on senior leader to drive transformation across our Platform Operations portfolio. The Director will lead strategic initiatives that blend innovation, automation, and operational excellence shaping next-gen IT operations through agentic automation (deterministic and AI-led), observability, IaC, and intelligent support frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

• Define and drive the roadmap for Platform Operations accelerators (observability, automation, agentic workflows).
• Lead or co-lead strategic initiatives on platform transformation for client engagements.
• Serve as the SME for platform modernization, event correlation, automation pipelines, and telemetry.
• Represent the practice in client meetings, executive briefings, and strategic discussions.
• Mentor and guide a core team of specialists and high-potential talent.

Solutioning & Go-to-Market

• Own the technical solutioning for RFPs/RFIs, ensuring sharp articulation of our differentiators.
• Develop PoVs and capability decks for demos, pursuits, and advisory.
• Work closely with GTM and delivery leadership to identify white space and opportunity areas.

Technology & Innovation

• Drive adoption of agentic workflows, AIOps, self-heal, and smart auto-remediation in IT RunOps.
• Build POCs and reference architectures for telemetry, auto-resolution, and platform intelligence.
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and CloudOps teams to influence next-gen automation standards.
• Own observability maturity across key clients from monitoring noise reduction to predictive ops.

Team & Talent Development

• Actively contribute to internal tech forums and learning pods.
• Mentor teams on new technologies (OpenTelemetry, Ansible, Python, Azure/GCP/AWS IaaS, etc.).
• Promote a learning culture through certifications, capability tracks, and hands-on labs.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have:

• 12–15 years of experience in Platform Operations / Infra Delivery / DevOps / SRE.
• Hands-on expertise in at least 2 of the following:
  Observability (Datadog, Dynatrace, Prometheus, ELK) Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, ARM templates) Automation Frameworks (Python, PowerShell, Ansible Tower, etc.) Cloud & Infra Platforms (Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, VMware)
• Strong exposure to enterprise IT operations across L1/L2/L3 and modernization efforts.
• Proven experience working on transformation programs or creating automation accelerators.
• Exposure to agentic automation, AI-led operations, or AIOps implementations.

Good to Have:

• Thought leadership exposure – blogs, conference participation, internal accelerator building.
• Recent certifications in cloud, automation, or observability tools.
• Experience in RFP/RFI solutioning, sales pursuits, and customer advisory sessions.
• Exposure to ServiceNow/JSM for ITSM or ITOM use cases.
