Digital Signal Processing Engineer

As an experienced Digital Signal Processing Engineer at Expro, your role will involve contributing to communications engineering and algorithmic design projects. You will work closely with the project manager to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget. Your responsibilities will include creating high-level and detailed DSP designs, developing prototype firmware components, conducting mathematical analysis, and participating in integration activities. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of Expro's tools and equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Work safely and responsibly in compliance with safety manuals, Quality Assurance System, and code of conduct. - Collaborate with the project manager to plan and schedule Digital Signal Processing Chain / Sensor data processing tasks. - Design and code Signal Processing Elements of Firmware components for Expro products. - Produce detailed design documentation to support system implementation and testing. - Develop efficient and accurate DSP / Sensor processing components using mathematical analysis and coding standards. - Participate in meetings requiring engineering input. - Conduct mathematical analysis of signal processing designs and develop algorithms for communications and sensor processing. - Generate and document component designs. - Implement and test components and frameworks for DSP / Sensor processing elements. - Integrate modules and components into target platforms. - Ensure adherence to software development processes. Qualifications Required: - Degree in engineering with practical software development experience. - Good knowledge of Digital Signal Processing and Sensor processing. - Proficiency in Mathematical analysis and Algorithm design for communications engineering and sensor processing. - Desirable experience with Matlab / Comsol or ability to learn similar tools. - Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems. - Experience in developing firmware for microcontrollers. - Knowledge of protocol design and implementation for UART/RS485, USB, CAN, Ethernet. - Familiarity with software design using UML. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team. - Desirable experience with modern software development methodologies and tools.,
