As an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst at this company, your role will involve participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your main objective will be to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Key Responsibilities: - Research and understand DevOps best practices based on industry and Citi standards. - Design software components in a microservices cloud-native architecture with resilience, scalability, and testability as key objectives. - Develop services and APIs in Java, Spring boot frameworks with an emphasis on design patterns, code quality, and secure coding practices. - Implement automated build, test, and deployment pipelines utilizing the latest DevOps tools available at Citi. - Collaborate with QA engineers to develop test cases and build an automated testing suite for both API and microservices. - Collaborate with other development teams to build shared libraries and components for reuse. - Participate in daily Scrum ceremonies, conduct sprint demos for stakeholders, and provide support for the platform. - Create and manage relevant application documentation using Confluence, JIRA, and SharePoint. Qualifications: - Strong technical background with experience in Software Development Lifecycle in a global and dynamic environment. - Experience in designing and developing cloud-native applications with a microservices architecture on platforms like Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes. - 7+ years of experience in application development using Java, SQL, and messaging platforms such as Kafka, MQ, etc. - Hands-on experience in Spring framework, Spring boot technologies, API development, and application security best practices. - Proficiency in Gradle, Maven build tools, Git/Bitbucket, Junit, caching services like Redis, Gemfire. - Passion for adopting industry best practices and new technologies with an exploratory mindset. - Detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with strong communication and presentation skills. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum work environment and ability to manage tight deadlines effectively. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.,
