DevOps Principal Software Engineer (AI)

As a Principal Software Engineer in the AI space, you will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle. You should be knowledgeable in object-oriented development and engineering best practices.
What youll be doing:Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable codeProactively suggest improvements to applications and processes that enhance the client experience or improve performanceParticipate in the maintenance and support of the solutionParticipate in Agile development process and ceremoniesWork with the Product Management team to understand and document project requirementsCollaborate with other engineers on the technical design of solutionsKeep up to date on the latest technical developments in your areaImplement design concepts from the UI/UX team.Ensure compliance with Web standards and accessibility requirements.Work closely with product management, scrum master, and other team members to coordinate implementation and provide progress updates at daily standup meetingsEnsure robust high quality code standards are maintained in the development process.Designing, building, and maintaining platform features that enable Blackbaud products to integrate Generative AI capabilitiesDeploying, operating, and monitoring LLMs as part of a common Blackbaud Generative AI PlatformWhat we'll want you to have:8 or more years of experience in designing and developing applications on the Microsoft stackExperience designing building Generative AI features into software productsExperience with prompt engineering, including evaluating prompts and their effectivenessExperience deploying and monitoring LLMs and other Generative AI resources via cloud providersExperience with common web technologies JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and HTMLExperience with C# and .NET CoreExperience with SQL Server and/or Cosmos DBUnderstanding of software engineering best practices and object-oriented developmentExperience working with RESTful services and APIsFamiliarity with Git and continuous integration systemsFamiliarity with building software applications in the cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP) a plusAvailable on a 24x7x365 basis when needed for production impacting incidents or key customer events.What well prefer you to have:Experience building applications with Angular
