DevOps Engineer

About the role:

The DevOps Engineer streamlines software delivery by designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) through Infrastructure-as-Code, and ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security. They bridge development and operations teams, automate workflows, monitor performance, and promote best practices in DevSecOps, automation, and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
• Integrate version control, automated testing, and deployment tools to streamline delivery.
• Ensure faster, reliable, and repeatable software releases.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Standardize environments across dev, QA, staging, and production.
• Ensure scalability and cost-efficiency of infrastructure.
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
• Track application performance and proactively address bottlenecks.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery practices.
• Manage secrets, credentials, and access controls securely.
• Implement DevSecOps practices (vulnerability scans, security in CI/CD).
• Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.
• Work closely with developers, QA, and operations teams to break down silos.
• Troubleshoot build, deployment, and environment issues.
• Act as the bridge between development and operations for smoother delivery.
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve productivity and reliability.
• Optimize infrastructure costs and deployment times.
• Promote best practices in automation, observability, and reliability engineering.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Terraform).
•  Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
•  Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
•  Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
•  Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
