About Sandvik Coromant:

Job Purpose:

• Drive continuous improvements in manufacturing automation and digital process planning.
• Contribute to continuous improvements for Coromant's local and global production units.
• Provide global support for production.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain methods and software for rule-based process planning and resource management (tools, fixtures, carriers).
• Integrate automation platforms with ERP, MES, and PLM systems.
• Generate routings, BOMs, resource requirements, and parameter files using digital tools.
• Specify, select, and configure resource and tool management platforms based on business needs.
• Create software solutions to extract manufacturing data from product models, including 3D models, drawings, and measurement programs.
• Apply CAx technologies, APIs, and programming methods for measurement and grinding equipment.
• Develop Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs) and parametric machine programs for various controllers.
• Lead manufacturing process automation in PDP projects, ensuring quality and productivity targets are met.
• Support new product introductions and provide technical expertise in production.
• Create and maintain directives and instructions for manufacturing automation.
• Contribute to Machine Investment Projects (MIPs) and implement advanced technologies in Insert Production.
• Collaborate with global teams, suppliers, and Product Management to ensure efficient, high-quality production processes.

Your Profile:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's / Masters degree in engineering preferably Mechanical
• 4-8 years of experience in product development in engineering /manufacturing industry.
• Experience in Design and Product Development, CAD/CAM/CAE/Computer Science

Technical & Behavioural Competence:

• Experienced in Machine Investment Projects, Rule-based design, 3D Model based Design (MBD), Knowledge based Engineering, Digital process planning & automation and software development
• NC machine programming and post-processing
• Proficient in tools such as GSSII, WrapsMT, IBM Notes, Office 365, SAP, Antura, and IAR Power Apps
• Familiarity with project models like PDP, KDP, and MIP
• Solid project management skills with the ability to lead and collaborate across global teams
• Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Blanks, Powder, Maintenance, Grinding, and Press Tools
• Ability to work effectively across different stakeholders and other production units globally
• Analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving
• Proactive and self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Adaptable and open to change, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
• Collaborative team player with a global mindset and cultural sensitivity
