Role Overview

The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and documenting high-quality software solutions with minimal guidance. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, delivering optimized and secure code, improving efficiency through automation, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate has strong experience in .NET, AngularJS, Node.js, and Kafka.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Coding

• Understand user stories, functional requirements, and technical design documents to develop scalable and maintainable software components.
• Write clean, efficient, and secure code using .NET, AngularJS, Node.js, and Kafka.
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and unit testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for assigned modules and features.

Design & Architecture

• Interpret low-level and high-level designs and contribute to solution design discussions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, architecture best practices, and security guidelines.

Defect & Release Management

• Identify, raise, fix, retest, and close defects in a timely manner.
• Support production issue analysis and quick turnaround resolution.
• Adhere to release management and deployment processes.

Collaboration & Customer Interaction

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and business stakeholders.
• Communicate progress, risks, and challenges clearly and proactively.

Continuous Improvement & Mentorship

• Identify opportunities for automation, performance improvements, and process enhancements.
• Mentor and guide junior developers to improve delivery effectiveness.
• Contribute to knowledge repositories, code libraries, and best practice documents.

Key Performance Indicators

• Adherence to coding standards and engineering practices.
• On-time delivery of assigned tasks and sprint commitments.
• Reduction in defect leakage and reoccurring issues.
• Meeting SLA and productivity benchmarks.
• Completion of mandatory trainings and certifications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong development experience with:
• .NET Framework / .NET Core
• AngularJS for front-end development
• Node.js for backend or microservice components
• Apache Kafka for event streaming and messaging
• Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, or containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience in client-facing roles or stakeholder collaboration.
• Certifications in relevant technology stacks (Microsoft .NET, Cloud, etc.)
