Developer 4 (Backend Java developer)

As a Principal Java Developer at Hyland Software, you will be responsible for developing complex code based on functional specifications across teams and programs. Your role will involve maintaining and improving the codebase, data design, and best practices in alignment with established standards. You will be expected to understand and contribute to the architecture of the software, as well as perform complex peer code reviews and analysis. Additionally, you will operate as an innovative thought leader and trusted advisor across teams and programs, significantly contributing to the growth and quality of the department. Key Responsibilities: - Develop complex code based on functional specifications - Maintain and improve codebase, data design, and best practices - Contribute to software architecture and create implementation standards - Perform peer code review and analysis - Contribute to the implementation of delivery pipeline - Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members - Act as an escalation point for complex production or software code issues - Contribute significantly to the growth and quality of the department Qualifications Required: - Minimum 7 years of experience in programming in Java - Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Elastic Search - Knowledge of Clean Coding, TDD, Object Orienting, SOLID, Relational Databases, CI/CD, Containerization - Experience with Cloud and Microservice Architecture/SOA with a service bus pattern - Experience with data structures, algorithms, and software design - Experience with test automation and continuous integration tools - Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills - Good oral and written communications skills - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Attention to detail and self-motivated nature,
