Senior Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage

  the engineering department, leveraging a strong technical background in relevant engineering disciplines such as Structural, Piping, and Mechanical.

• Provide technical guidance and expertise

  on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and construction projects.

• Review and approve

  design calculations and engineering documents, including structural connection designs, piping designs, and static equipment engineering.

• Lead and mentor

  a team of engineers and draftsmen, optimizing their output and efficiency.

• Manage multiple projects concurrently

  , ensuring they are completed efficiently and on schedule.

• Implement and maintain

  company and project quality systems and procedures to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Identify and implement

  cost-reduction opportunities and innovative solutions.

• Utilize estimating skills

  to develop cost-effective design solutions.

• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies

  to secure necessary approvals and ensure project success.

• Negotiate and resolve conflicts constructively

  to maintain positive project momentum.

• Develop and manage vendors

  for outsourced work, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

• Capture lessons learned

  and lead improvement initiatives for product and process enhancement.

• Ensure high awareness of safe working practices

  in all design and construction activities.

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines

  to seamlessly integrate construction engineering into complex projects.

• Maintain knowledge

  of various Offshore and Onshore structures and their construction methodologies.

• Stay familiar

  with key fabrication and construction techniques.

Key Deliverables

• Timely issuance of engineering deliverables as per project specifications.
• Technical review and evaluation of drawings and design documents.
• Provide site support and resolve technical queries.
• Develop and document execution methodologies.

Qualifications

• Education:

  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

• Professional Experience:

  18-25+ years of experience in the respective field, with a focus on EPC projects. Must have previous experience in a managerial role such as

  Lead Engineer

  .

• Technical Skills:

  Proficiency in engineering software tools such as

  Staad-Pro, SACS AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, PV-Elite, and ANSYS

  .

• Industry Knowledge:

  Thorough understanding of industry standards and codes, including

  ASME, AISC, API, Eurocodes, ABS, DNV, and IBR

  .

• Behavioral Competencies:

  Strong leadership, excellent communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Must be self-motivated and highly organized.
