Position Overview

Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop

  3D CAD models

  of composite parts, assemblies, and tools using software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
• Prepare detailed

  2D engineering drawings

  for manufacturing, assembly, and quality inspection.
• Design

  molds, fixtures, and tooling

  required for composite layup, curing, and machining processes.
• Collaborate with production engineers to ensure

  designs are optimized for manufacturability

  and cost-effectiveness.
• Support

  DFM (Design for Manufacturing)

  reviews, ensuring compliance with tolerances, material properties, and composite layup techniques.
• Work on

  BOM (Bill of Materials)

  preparation and maintain revision control for drawings and documentation.
• Participate in prototype builds, testing, and

  continuous improvement initiatives

  .
• Provide technical input for

  RFQs and customer proposals

  .

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in

  Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field

  .

• 3–8 years of experience

  in design engineering, preferably with exposure to composites.
• Strong proficiency in

  3D CAD software

  (SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with

  2D drafting and GD&T

  .
• Knowledge of

  composite layup processes, vacuum bagging, autoclave curing, and tooling requirements

  .
• Understanding of

  manufacturing tolerances, structural properties, and materials used in composites

  .
• Familiarity with

  FEA/structural analysis

  tools (preferred but not mandatory).
