Design Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design/CAD Engineer to join our team in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, CAD software proficiency, and a thorough understanding of industry standards. You will be responsible for creating detailed designs, drawings, and models that meet the specifications and requirements of our projects. Key Responsibilities: • Design and Drafting: o Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for various components, systems, and equipment used in the Oil & Gas industry. o Collaborate with engineers to translate technical specifications and requirements into precise designs. o Modify and update existing designs as per project requirements. • Technical Documentation: o Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design reports. o Ensure that all designs and documentation comply with industry standards and company guidelines. • Quality Assurance: o Perform thorough checks and validations of designs to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with project specifications. o Participate in design reviews and contribute to the improvement of design processes. • Collaboration: o Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure the successful completion of design-related tasks. o Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source the necessary materials and components for designs. • Software Proficiency: o Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools to create and modify designs. o Stay updated with the latest software versions and industry trends to enhance design efficiency. Skills and Competencies: • Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent). • In-depth knowledge of mechanical design principles and industry standards. • Experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with a good understanding of the specific design requirements for this industry. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: • Additional certifications in CAD or design-related fields. • Familiarity with engineering codes and standards applicable to the Oil & Gas industry (e.g., ASME, API). • Experience with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD).
