Role Overview

DataStage Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using IBM DataStage.
Implement data transformation, cleansing, and validation logic.
Develop and optimize Unix Shell Scripts for ETL job automation and scheduling.
Write and maintain SQL scripts for data manipulation and reporting.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Perform data profiling, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality data integration.
Monitor job performance and apply performance tuning techniques.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Maintain documentation for ETL processes and data workflows.

Required Skills

IBM Infosphere DataStage (ETL development)
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) integration experience
Unix/Linux Shell Scripting
SQL and relational database management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and large datasets

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field
Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M)
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
Exposure to data governance and data quality practices
