Databricks Architect

You are ArCent, a 17+ year young recruitment firm with a global reach, dedicated to providing top-level, dependable talent to your clients, which primarily include leading MNCs and CMM-level companies. Currently, you are looking to hire a Databricks Architect for one of your Indian clients, a 30-year-old digital engineering company with a global presence and a workforce of over 3,500 professionals. This organization specializes in IT services, software products, platforms, and infrastructure, with expertise in Big Data, AI/ML, and cloud solutions for large enterprises. Headquartered in the U.S., the company has major development centers across Noida, Gurugram, Pune, Indore, Bengaluru & Hyderabad in India, and is known for its proprietary platform enabling automated cloud and workload transformation. As a Databricks Architect, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications for data pipelines, data lakes, and analytical processes on the Databricks platform. Your role will involve designing and architecting end-to-end data solutions to meet business needs and performance requirements, leading the setup, configuration, and optimization of Databricks clusters, workspaces, and jobs, and managing access controls and security configurations to ensure data privacy and compliance. You should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 10-20 years of experience in Data Engineering, including a minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in Databricks. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Scala, or SQL is required, along with experience with Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiarity with big data technologies like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and data lake architectures. Experience with ETL processes, batch & streaming data processing, and performance tuning is essential. Additionally, you should have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to mentor and train team members on Databricks best practices, features, and capabilities. Exposure to Agile methodology and a Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate/Professional Certification would be desirable.
