Database Programmer (DBP)

As a Database Programmer at Algonomy, you will be a key individual contributor to the Product Deployment team. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing ETL and ETL performance tuning - Fine-tuning complex queries of an analytical database warehouse - Demonstrating good knowledge of database and data warehouse architecture - Collaborating effectively with team members to share best practices - Working closely with Team Members, Team Leads, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, and Project Managers To excel in this role, you must meet the following essential requirements: - Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing data warehouses and database programming - Proficiency in T-SQL / PL-SQL Programming and performance tuning of complex queries - Experience in creating database objects like Stored Procedures, User Define Functions, Views, and indexes - Expertise in ETL, including designing and developing Scripts and Programs for data extraction, transformation, cleaning, and loading - Strong skills in ETL performance handling, especially using MS-SSIS or any standard ETL Tool for handling large volumes of data - Ability to fine-tune complex queries of an analytical Database Warehouse Additionally, it would be nice to have experience in SSRS/SSAS 2005/2008 and knowledge of standard BI tools, which could be advantageous. Exposure to the Retail / CPG domain would also be beneficial for this role.
