As a Database Developer, your primary responsibility will be to gather and organize essential information related to the functions of various databases. You will handle requests regarding database layout, appearance, and special features, providing guidance to Application Developers on database access and usage. Throughout the development projects, you will offer hands-on leadership, including DB schema design, code development and review, SQL query tuning, and optimizations. Additionally, you will be responsible for the installation, patching, upgrading, configuring, and monitoring of DBMS installations. You will play a vital role in upgrading and enhancing application schema and data upgrades, making proactive recommendations for system improvements, and supporting production application databases when necessary. Analyzing structural requirements for new system development and developing plans for data migration from legacy systems to new solutions will also be part of your duties. You will support migration and implementation of new Compas software versions from the DB perspective, design and implement future ETL frameworks, and create conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts. Your expertise will be crucial in improving system performance through testing, troubleshooting, and integrating new elements, as well as optimizing both new and existing database systems. Defining security, backup, and DB maintenance procedures will be essential in ensuring the integrity and availability of data. You will also be required to enable and support a Data Science capability within the organization, design and support data pipelines for analytics and modeling, and create data analytics reports to communicate findings effectively. Additionally, you will design, develop, and support DB CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development process. Essential Skills and Experience Required: - Proven work experience as a Database developer with a focus on architecture, design, development, and documentation of DB solutions. - In-depth understanding of database structure principles and experience working with various relational and non-relational database technologies. - Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, and other database technologies, as well as experience with XML, JSON, and YAML formatted data. - Expertise in MS technologies such as MS-SQL, .NET, and MVC, along with experience in developing, testing, and tuning stored procedures. - Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, D3.js, and SSRS. - Experience with DAX, Python, R, and proficiency in MS Excel for displaying DB data. - Strong experience in directing other DB development and staff, with a minimum of 3+ years of experience. - 4+ years of experience in Microsoft database environments, including SQL, SSIS, and ETL. - Database administration experience covering installation, patching, security, maintenance, configuration, and monitoring. - Experience in Windows server environments and creating, configuring, and supporting DB CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps. - Proficiency in SQL, C++, or Java, with a preference for multiple languages. - Strong analytical skills, problem-solving attitude, and excellent communication skills. - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field will be advantageous for this role.,
