Key Areas

End-to-end database migration execution
Schema and code conversion (PL/SQL or T-SQL to PL/pgSQL)
Experience with migration tools (AWS DMS/SCT, Azure DMS, Ora2Pg, GCP DMS)
Cloud-native PostgreSQL architecture design and performance tuning

Roles & Responsibilities

Analyze existing database environments and define migration strategies
Lead end-to-end DB migration projects from assessment to production cutover
Perform schema conversion, object transformation, and data validation
Optimize PostgreSQL database performance, indexing, partitioning, and query tuning
Plan and execute PoCs, effort estimation, and migration risk assessments
Collaborate with cloud teams, application teams, and architects to ensure smooth migrations
Troubleshoot complex database and performance issues during migration
Establish best practices, standards, and guidelines for PostgreSQL and migration processes
Mentor and guide junior team members throughout the migration lifecycle
