Database Administrator

We are looking for a candidate with 3+ or 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and above in a production setting. Your responsibilities will include 24 x 7 support, monitoring, maintenance, and administration of production, QA, and Dev SQL environments. You should be well-versed in the change request process and possess in-depth knowledge of SQL server architecture and database concepts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database backup and recovery, as well as hands-on experience in managing database security. You should be capable of overseeing all DB maintenance plan activities, such as backups, indexing, integrity checks, and more. Proactive identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of live database system issues will be part of your daily tasks. Experience with configuring, implementing, and supporting transactional replication, SQL clustering, log shipping, and database mirroring is essential. Proficiency in TSQL writing, query execution plans, query tuning, and performance tuning is required. Knowledge of disaster recovery principles and practices, including planning, testing, backup/restore, is a must. Strong communication and written skills are crucial for this role. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, administering, and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the company database. Additionally, you will work on data models, database designs, data access, and table maintenance codes. This position will involve resolving database performance and capacity issues, as well as handling replication and other distributed data challenges.
