Data Test Engineer

As a Data Test Engineer / ETL Tester in Bangalore, you play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of ETL processes, database systems, and data analyses. Your responsibilities include: - Understanding business functionalities and technical/database landscapes of the applications under i360 scope. - Collaborating with Database Engineers and Data Analysts to comprehend requirements and testing needs. - Building and maintaining a test automation framework, creating robust and maintainable test cases. - Implementing Quality Engineering Strategies, best practices, and guidelines for scalability, reusability, and maintainability. - Identifying, replicating, and reporting defects, as well as verifying defect fixes. - Validating data accuracy, completeness, and consistency using ETL tools and SQL queries. - Demonstrating proactiveness, adaptability to changes, and strong communication skills both verbally and in writing. Qualifications required for this role: - 3+ years of experience as a Data Test Engineer / ETL Tester. - Expertise in DB-related testing and ETL testing. - Strong Python programming skills and experience with SQL, ETL tools like pandas, and great expectations. - Knowledge of SQL and experience with databases such as Redshift, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Postgres, and Snowflake. - Good understanding of analyzing population data and demographics. - Proficiency in version control using Gitlab and pipeline integration. - Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision. To excel in this role, hands-on experience with Jira, knowledge of Agile methodology, DevOps tools like Gitlab CI/CD pipeline, and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills will be advantageous. Awareness of current market trends is also beneficial. Please note that this is a contractual/temporary position with a duration of 6 months, requiring in-person work at the Bangalore location.,
