Data Security Analyst- SQL

As a Data Security Analyst- SQL at our technology services client, you will be reporting to the Manager Data Security Technology and working as a member of the Information Protection and Risk Management (IPRM) team. Your role involves collaborating closely with other team members to develop and implement a comprehensive approach to managing security risks at the client. Your responsibilities will include: - Building, maintaining, and improving Data Security Controls such as Remediation, Data Masking, Monitoring and Logging, Classification, and Encryption - Implementing and managing Security Policies using Security tools - Managing and Monitoring Auditing and Logging on all Cloud Databases - Governing the enterprise, DAM systems, and other security controls on a day-to-day basis - Automating manual tasks by building and transforming scripts using Python, Java Script, and other scripting languages - Collaborating with Security teams to optimize control systems to meet business needs effectively - Working on Integrations using API Connectors - Building SQL queries using SnowSql and other SQL languages - Supporting configuration rules and policies across the enterprise - Assisting in Database Security Program reporting using Power BI, Splunk, and other sensitive data remediation activities - Supporting Security incident response for database security controls with enterprise CSIRT SOC teams - Maintaining subject matter expertise in information security and Data Security Management - Collaborating with development teams to understand infrastructure needs and translating them into Terraform code The skills required for this role include: - 4 years of experience in Data Security/Protection - 3 years of working experience on all Cloud Databases including RDS, NoSql, Data Warehouses, etc. - 3 years of working knowledge on SaaS technology Services - Experience with tools like ALTR and BigID - Experience with version control systems like GitLab - Strong understanding of Terraform syntax and best practices - Expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Ability to document security governance processes and procedures in team run book - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work effectively across multiple teams - Ability to think strategically, use sound judgement, and balance short and long term risk decisions - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently - Ability to handle competing priorities and follow through on commitments - 5 years of experience in IT Security Risk Management, preferably at a large bank holding company - Industry certification preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM) - BS/BA or equivalent experience required - Experience in working in Agile Delivery model If you are interested in this Data Security Analyst- SQL position, please share your updated resume to sohail.s@s3staff.com.,
