Data Modeler Data Management & Strategy
Importance of Role
LSEG is the leading provider of news and financial information in the world. On its own, the value of its data is significant, but usability and insights are significantly enhanced based on the way we organize and arrange our data in order to make it understandable and discoverable.
Our customers need to connect traditional market and reference data with alternative and unstructured data assets and aggregate these datasets for multiple use cases. The LSEG Data Model standardizes the concepts our data represents. The successful execution of a data and technology strategy that leverages these data models and this connected data provides better ideas through more insightful analysis, more accurate calculation of risk exposure, and eases regulatory reporting requirements. For these reasons, utilization of connected datasets results in a significant competitive advantage.
This role presents a rare opportunity for someone with a passion for data modelling to work within a team of data architects & modellers to produce an enterprise-wide data model. The role itself has a number of facets; business analysis to gain the necessary level of understanding for the data definition and usage, production of the data model and the forward engineering of the physical implementation.
