As a Data Engineer/Architect at EY, you will play a crucial role in transforming clients" operations through the power of data. Your responsibilities will include driving data strategy and governance, designing advanced architectures and models, and ensuring organizations can effectively harness their data to become truly data-driven. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - Define, guide, and advise clients on developing data strategies that drive transformative outcomes and embrace innovation. - Gather, challenge, and prioritize clients" data requirements to tailor solutions to their unique needs. Engage with clients to understand their business realities and identify data-driven opportunities. - Define and design cutting-edge Data & Analytics architectures and solutions to enable businesses to maximize the potential of their data assets. - Develop advanced data platforms, including data acquisition and integration, data modeling, transformation processes, and data quality processes. - Evaluate and select tools and components essential for optimal data management and analytics capabilities. Implement innovative solutions effectively. - Develop and maintain comprehensive data lake and data warehouse schematics, layouts, architectures, and relational/non-relational databases. - Define, design, and implement efficient data ingestion flows and data pipelines to ensure high performance and scalability for large-scale data operations. - Coach and develop junior consultants, fostering an innovative and collaborative team environment. Contribute thought leadership and technical expertise to strengthen client relationships. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes: - Proven experience in data strategy, architecture, data modeling, data governance, AI, Machine Learning, and data platform design. - Familiarity with Big Data technologies, containerization platforms, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. - Good understanding of ETL, ELT, data ingestion/cleansing, and engineering skills. Knowledge of programming languages like Python and Java would be beneficial. - Excellent communication and presentation skills, adaptability to change, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong entrepreneurial and team spirit, balanced by autonomy. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor or Masters Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related fields. - Minimum of 3 years experience in software engineering, data strategy, technology consulting, or similar roles. - Understanding of different data architecture patterns. - Excellent English communication skills, proficiency in another foreign language is advantageous.
