As a Data Engineer at Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC), you will have a significant role in creating a global value chain to enhance value for Hitachi Energy customers worldwide. Your main responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating technical proficiency in AI data analytics within a team comprising diverse technical skills. - Constructing and managing precise and scalable data pipelines and infrastructure (e.g., SQL Warehouse, Data Lakes) utilizing Cloud platforms like MS Azure and Databricks. - Actively collaborating with business stakeholders to comprehend data lineage, definitions, and data extraction methods. - Developing production-quality SQL and PySpark code to establish the data architecture. - Merging SQL databases from various sources, data cleaning, and manipulation to prepare for analytics and machine learning. - Employing data visualization tools such as Power BI to generate professional-grade dashboards and reports. - Creating high-quality documentation for data processing across different projects to ensure reproducibility. - Upholding Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking ownership of your actions and showing consideration for your colleagues and the business. Qualifications required for this role: - BE / BS in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. - 5 years of experience in data engineering, including comprehension of lakehouse architecture, data integration framework, ETL/ELT pipeline, orchestration/monitoring, and star schema data modeling. - 5 years of proficiency in Python/PySpark and SQL. - 2 years of expertise in Microsoft Power BI. - 3 years of experience utilizing Azure-based environment like Databricks, ADLS, and Azure Machine Learning for data engineering purposes. - Basic knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms. - Capability to quickly grasp concepts outside one's core field; a rapid learning generalist capable of independently solving problems and adept at navigating a matrixed corporate setting. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is mandatory.
