Data Architect

Summary:

Data Architect with extensive experience in managing and optimizing data architecture, particularly with a focus on DynamoDB and Redshift. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both traditional SQL databases and NoSQL databases, with a deep understanding of data modeling, optimization, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data architectures utilizing DynamoDB and Redshif
• Collaborate with client, stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements, and translate them into efficient database design,
• Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and structures to ensure optimal performance and reliabilit,
• Optimize database configurations, queries, and indexing strategies to enhance system performance and scalabilit,
• Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with regulatory standard,
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to address bottlenecks and inefficiencie,
• Work closely with software engineers and data analysts to integrate data solutions into applications and analytical workflow,

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Extensive hands-on experience with DynamoDB and Redshift is required
• Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL database technologies, with a focus on data modeling, optimization, and performance tuning
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration techniques
• Experience working in cloud environments, particularly with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues
• Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty)
• Experience with other NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
