1. Testing Experience

• Prior experience in application testing with understanding of of D365 F&O

1. Test Case Preparation

• Review functional requirements, process flows, and FDDs to create comprehensive functional test cases and test scripts.
• Identify positive, negative, edge, and exception scenarios for each business process.
• Ensure traceability by mapping test cases to business requirements.

1. Test Execution

• Perform functional testing of D365 F&O modules to validate configurations and customizations.
• Execute

  regression testing

  to confirm that new changes do not impact existing functionalities.
• Carry out

  integration testing

  with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., finance, supply chain, sales).
• Validate reports, transactions, and workflows against business rules.

1. Defect Management

• Log defects with detailed reproduction steps, screenshots, and relevant data in the defect tracking tool.
• Collaborate with technical/development teams to explain issues and support in root cause analysis.
• Re-test fixes and validate closure of defects.

1. Security Role Validation & Testing

• Experience validating:
• Security roles
• Permissions
• Segregation of duties in D365 F&O system
