Cyber Security Project Delivery Manager

Role Overview

The Cyber Security Project Delivery Manager will lead end-to-end delivery of cyber security initiatives across the organization or for client engagements. This role requires strong project management capability, deep understanding of security technologies, stakeholder management, and the ability to ensure delivery within scope, timelines, and budget. The individual will work closely with technical teams, vendors, business units, and leadership to successfully implement security solutions, ensure compliance, and mitigate cyber risks.

Role & responsibilities

Project Delivery & Management

• Lead and manage the delivery of multiple cyber security projects simultaneously.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and resource plans.
• Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and drive execution through completion.
• Ensure timely delivery of security solutions such as SIEM, SOAR, IAM, DLP, Cloud Security, Endpoint Security, VAPT, Network Security, etc.
• Conduct periodic project reviews, health checks, and risk assessments.
  

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including InfoSec, IT Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, Legal, and Compliance teams.
• Engage with external vendors, OEMs, partners, and consultants to ensure solution delivery.
• Drive governance meetings, steering committee updates, and executive reporting.
  

Risk, Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, RBI/SEBI/IRDAI guidelines (as applicable).
• Validate solution design, architecture, and technical compliance before deployment.
• Drive UAT, documentation, SOPs, and handover to operations teams.
  

Financial & Resource Management

• Track project budgets, invoices, PO management, and cost control.
• Manage allocation of engineers, consultants, and cross-functional resources.
  

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain project dashboards, status reports, RAG indicators, and KPIs.
• Prepare executive summaries, delivery trackers, and risk logs.
• Ensure creation and maintenance of project documentation, policies, and knowledge repositories.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Master’s degree (M.Tech/MBA) is a plus.
  

Professional Experience

• 8–14+ years of total experience in IT/InfoSec with at least 4–7 years in cyber security project delivery or program management.
• Proven experience delivering security implementations across SIEM, IAM, Cloud Security, Network Security, SOC, or similar domains.
  

Technical Skills (Preferred but not mandatory)

• Understanding of security tools like Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Zscaler, CrowdStrike, CyberArk, Okta, Microsoft Defender Suite, etc.
• Good knowledge of cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  

Project/Management Skills

• Certification preferred: PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, ITIL, or similar.
  Security certifications are a plus: CISSP, CISM, CEH, ISO 27001 LA/LI.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
