Consultant, Salesforce Development

Role & responsibilities

Leadership & Management:

• Lead architecture and design discussions with business stakeholders, technical architects, technical teams, and developers.
• Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce developers and administrators, providing technical guidance and support.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, design, and architecture.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources effectively.

  Platform Development & Customization:

• Design and implement scalable, high-performing Salesforce solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain Salesforce solution roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategies.
• Design and develop custom solutions on the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and integrations.
• Build and customize community and portal solutions using Salesforce Experience Cloud. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the Salesforce environment.
• Implement and maintain Salesforce configurations, custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and other standard functionalities.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud and other systems using APIs, middleware, and third-party tools.
• Stay updated with Salesforce innovations and emerging technologies to optimize solutions. Support business teams in identifying opportunities for automation and process improvements.
• DevOps and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) processes

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security. Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce applications and integrations. Documentation & Training
• Create and maintain technical documentation for Salesforce solutions and integrations.
• Provide training and support to end-users and team members on Salesforce functionalities and best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• 10+ years of experience in Salesforce development and architecture.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team of developers.
• Proficiency in Salesforce platforms such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud and CRM Analytics.
• Experience in multi-cloud Salesforce implementations.
• Extensive experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web components, Salesforce Flows and Salesforce integrations.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, design patterns, and development methodologies.
• Experience with integration tools such as Mulesoft, WebMethods, REST/SOAP APIs, and ETL solutions.
• Deep understanding of data integrity, security and compliance standards within the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web services.
• Knowledge and ability to follow SDLC as well as Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for Salesforce.
• Knowledge of AI-driven Salesforce solutions such as Einstein Analytics.
• Experience in standard operating procedures to perform pre and post-production support activities. Good verbal and presentation skills. Good written communication skills
