Next Lap is building the digital home for endurance sports - connecting athletes, events, and communities. We’re a fast-moving startup using tech to help recreational athletes track, share, and celebrate their journeys.

Community Outreach Intern

Responsibilities

• Identify recreational athlete groups, local sports clubs, and fitness communities online and offline.
• Reach out to communities to encourage participation and association with Next Lap.

• Drive community engagement:

  Facilitate discussions, encourage participation, and create a lively, interactive environment online and offline.
• Manage active online spaces (WhatsApp, Strava, Telegram, Discord, Facebook/LinkedIn).
• Moderate discussions and ensure a positive, inclusive environment.
• Highlight achievements, milestones, and inspiring stories from community members.
• Collaborate with Storytellers, Marketing, and Events teams to support content and initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of communities, members, outreach activities, and engagement metrics.

Requirements / Skills

• Community Engagement:

  Experience managing online groups or interest-based communities (WhatsApp, Strava, Telegram, Discord, Facebook/LinkedIn).

• Networking & Outreach:

  Ability to identify and connect with recreational athletes, clubs, and local communities.

• Communication Skills:

  Strong written and verbal skills for outreach, moderation, and relationship-building.

• Organization & Documentation:

  Track community interactions, leads, and engagement metrics (Notion/Excel).

• Attention to Detail:

  Maintain accurate records and follow up consistently.

• Bonus:

  Interest in sports or fitness communities, event management experience, or prior grassroots engagement work.

Internship Details

• Duration: 12 weeks
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 30-35 hours per week (flexible, student-friendly)
• Stipend: ₹2,000/month
• Start Date: Immediate
