Project Process Description

Operations specialist requires excellent communication, time management and organizational skills. The role will focus on researching, outreaching and providing support to governmental and non-governmental entities in various markets. You will use your business development and relationship building skills to identify and effectively communicate mutually beneficial opportunities to both partners and Google.

Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree

Relevant Experience and Minimum for Spe:1-3 years/ SME: 4-5 Years:

  • Experience in B2B communication or Customer service
  • Experience in Transit or Mapping content
  • Bachelor's degree inEnglish,linguistics, or a related field.
  • Good communication & articulation skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Domain: Maps - Maps

Core Competencies

  • Experience in B2B partnerships/sales, customer service
  • Experience working in digital/technology companies with tech products
  • Expertise in Salesforce.com; G Suite - nice to have
  • Basic knowledge in Geographic Information System tools - nice to have

  • Excellent writing and comprehension skills - ability to communicate in a lucid manner (written and verbal)
  • Should be fine to work from office in a 24x7 work schedule along with rotational shifts

Detailed Role & Responsibilities (Please include Shift timings & Client Incentives as applicable)

  • Conduct research in assigned cities across geographies to collate data from approved sources that can be used to enhance the accuracy of Google Maps and benefit end users
  • Communicate Googles geo mission to authoritative entities and engage with potential partners to share data for inclusion on Maps, using documentation provided by Google
  • Liaise between external partners and Google stakeholder teams to convey requirements, validate data, coordinate and communicate updates about fixes/edits, etc.
  • Report details of outreach and/or operational issues to GDO Outreach Operations Lead. Report project status and identify insights re: partner expectations, partner user journeys, motivations & challenges, data gaps, outreach best practices, etc.
  • Manage and track all data submissions with GDO operations teams and various external partners
  • Update information in internal planning tools and platforms as required, including logging and tracking all research, outreach, rejections, resulting submissions, etc.
  • Document on deliverables, such as # of partners contacted/onboarded, # of open data sources identified or data sets submitted/ ingested, # of edits made originating from outreached sources
  • Address and resolve external partner queries associated to the project
  • Troubleshoot process and operational issues reported by authoritative data sources, deep understanding of data formats, structures, etc.
  • Manage data pipeline from receiving the data captured by Partners to the creation of launch schedules, ensuring highest quality of captured data as outlined in the Operational Guidelines
  • Utilize Google and non-Google owned tool to engage with Partners and track communications
  • Support Real Time internal teams, handle escalated cust issues and close with the clients, 24/7 support to the agents to enable them to provide timely and accurate resolution.
  • Deep dive into client campaign data to identify performance opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Play client facing role in case of escalated issues by the team for complete closure
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Google features
  • Identify and document best practices from consults data specifically relevant
  • Knowledge Management: Share deep-dives on top issue types consulted with L1 to L4 and stay up-to-date on the latest Google features, updates, and best practices, and share this knowledge internally.
  • Product Expertise: Stay informed about current trends and best practices in the digital advertising landscape.
