Cobol Programmer

We are looking for an experienced Tandem Developer proficient in HP NonStop, COBOL, and Real-Time Processing (RTP) to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with a background in mission-critical systems and high-availability environments. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the HP NonStop/Tandem platform to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Your responsibilities will include developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications on the HP NonStop platform using COBOL, TAL, TACL, and Pathway. You will also design and implement real-time transaction processing (RTP) solutions, work with Enscribe, SQL/MP, and SQL/MX databases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application performance. Additionally, you will support production systems, provide technical guidance for system enhancements, and ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the HP NonStop (Tandem) platform using COBOL, TAL, TACL, and Pathway. - Design and implement real-time transaction processing (RTP) solutions. - Work with Enscribe, SQL/MP, and SQL/MX databases. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application performance. - Support production systems and provide technical guidance for system enhancements. - Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards. Required Skills & Experience: - 5+ years of experience working with HP NonStop (Tandem) systems. - Strong proficiency in COBOL, TAL, TACL, Pathway, and SCOBOL. - Experience with Enscribe, SQL/MP, and SQL/MX. - Familiarity with Tandem middleware solutions. - Understanding of networking protocols, security compliance, and performance tuning. - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging standards. - Exposure to modernization efforts for HP NonStop applications. - Experience with middleware solutions such as MQ, XPNET, or JPath.,
