CNC Turner Setter/Operator

Role Overview: As a VMC Programmer at the Manufacturer of Aeronautical Components, your main responsibility will be reading technical drawings and setting up machines based on these blueprints. Using computer software, you will model cutting paths and program machines accordingly. It will be crucial for you to conduct quality assurance tests to ensure that products meet design specifications. Additionally, you will need to adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while upholding quality standards. Troubleshooting and resolving any machine-related issues that arise, as well as performing basic maintenance tasks like cleaning and sharpening, will also fall under your responsibilities. Moreover, training new employees on the proper operation of VMC machines and programs will be an essential part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Read technical drawings and set up machines based on blueprints - Model cutting paths and program machines using computer software - Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications - Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality - Consider tools required to cut specific materials and program machines accordingly - Troubleshoot and resolve machine problems - Perform basic machine maintenance tasks - Train new employees on operating VMC machines and programs Qualifications: - Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is required - Strong attention to detail is a must - Familiarity and skill in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints - Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems - Ability to work independently and follow directions closely - Positive and professional attitude - Willingness to work weekends and overtime - Capable of standing for extended periods *Note: The job is full-time with food provided as a benefit.
