CNC Setter/Operator

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Setter/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision aluminium and brass forged components according to technical drawings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines (lathe, milling, VMC, etc.) based on work instructions and drawings.
• Operate CNC machines to produce components as per specified tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, tool layouts, and machining instructions.
• Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for production runs.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure optimum efficiency.
• Conduct in-process inspection of parts using measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, gauges, CMM if required).
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of machines.
• Maintain accurate records of production and quality checks.
• Follow workplace safety, housekeeping, and 5S practices.
• Collaborate with the quality team to resolve issues and achieve zero-defect output.

Qualifications & Skills

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
• 2–5 years of experience in CNC machine setting and operation (preferably in forging/machining industry).
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming basics (Siemens controls preferred).
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and GD&T.
• Familiar with measuring instruments and quality inspection tools.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in shifts if required.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
