CNC Machine Operator

The responsibilities of a CNC Machine Operator include operating CNC press brake machines for bending operations on sheet metal and other metal components. You will set up machines according to job orders, blueprints, and tooling instructions. Additionally, you will load and edit CNC programs, select tools and dies, and adjust machine settings to ensure precision. Quality control is an essential aspect of the role, involving inspecting workpieces during and after bending using measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications. You will also perform first-article and in-process inspections. Material handling tasks include reading and interpreting engineering drawings, loading materials onto the machine correctly, and positioning them as required. Routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments, falls under your responsibilities. It is crucial to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate production records, logs, and inspection reports, as well as reporting any machine malfunctions, material defects, or quality issues to the supervisor. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will need to communicate effectively with team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure a smooth production flow. Supporting continuous improvement efforts in productivity and quality is another important aspect of the job. This is a permanent position with a day shift schedule.
