Role Objective

Lead Cloud Platform Engineer

Detailed Roles & Responsibilities

Performance Monitoring & Optimizatio

• Analyze performance data to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
  

Incident Management

• Act as an escalation point for complex incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical challenges in customer cloud environments.
  
• Escalate unresolved issues to hyperscalers as required.
  
• Guide and mentor Cloud Platform Engineers within the pod.
  
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence of issues.
  
• Document incidents and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
  
• Implement proactive measures to minimize incident likelihood.
  

Security Posture Management

• Implement and enforce security best practices across customer cloud environments.
  
• Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and industry frameworks.
  
• Stay updated on evolving security threats and apply patches/updates accordingly.
  

Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Provide advanced technical expertise in one or more cloud domains.
  
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and support of cloud infrastructure solutions.
  

Solution Delivery

• Partner with Cloud Solution Architects and Cloud Platform Engineers to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions that meet customer objectives.
  

Automation & Scripting

• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operations, reduce errors, and improve efficiency.
  
• Utilize scripting languages such as

  Python

  or

  PowerShell

  for automation.

Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to team members, stakeholders, and customers.
  
• Collaborate with Cloud Platform Engineers, Technical Account Managers, and Customer Success Managers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
  
• Share expertise with Cloud Platform Engineers and customers to enhance knowledge transfer.
  

Continuous Learning & Development

• Stay current with the latest cloud technologies, tools, and best practices.
  
• Pursue relevant certifications to strengthen technical expertise.
  
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
  

Customer Support

• Provide advanced technical support for customer service requests, inquiries, and issues.
  
• Collaborate with customer success teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  
• Create FAQs and knowledge base content to improve self-service capabilities.
