Cloud Network Engineer

As a Cloud Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing network architectures for cloud environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security across various cloud platforms. Your key responsibilities include: - Designing, implementing, and managing network architectures for cloud environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security. - Configuring and managing cloud networking services such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), subnets, IP addressing, routing, VPNs, and DNS. - Developing and maintaining connectivity solutions between on-premise networks and cloud environments, including hybrid cloud configurations and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute solutions. - Implementing and enforcing network security policies, including firewall rules, access control lists (ACLs), and VPNs, to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. - Continuously monitoring cloud network performance, identifying issues, and troubleshooting network-related problems to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation. - Analyzing network performance, recommending optimizations to reduce latency, improve bandwidth utilization, and enhance overall network efficiency in the cloud. - Collaborating with cloud architects, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to ensure network architecture aligns with business goals. Documenting network designs, configurations, and operational procedures. - Leveraging automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or Terraform) to automate network configuration, provisioning, and monitoring tasks. - Providing ongoing support for cloud network infrastructure, including regular updates, patches, and configuration adjustments as needed. - Ensuring that cloud network solutions are resilient and can recover quickly in the event of network failures or disasters, including implementing DR (disaster recovery) strategies for network infrastructure.
